In Case of Emergency...
Emergency illnesses or injuries often require rapid response, intensive care, rapid diagnostic capabilities, constant monitoring, and often require surgery. For this reason The Housepet Housevet does not typically see emergency cases. If Dr. Carrie is your regular veterinarian, we welcome phone calls letting us know the situation, but your main priority is to get your pet the help they need as soon as possible.
Write down this information and have it by the phone or on your refrigerator! Always keep copies of your pet’s recent medical records together and easily accessible if possible, so you can take them with you if you have an emergency. You can always call or e-mail us to request a current copy of your pet's records to have on hand
If you are not sure if you have an emergency, please see the useful “When is it an Emergency?” page published by the American Animal Hospital Association at www.healthypet.com or go directly to the local Emergency clinic.
