One of the unfortunate realities of sharing our life with an animal is that in most cases, we will at some point have to face the day when it's time to say goodbye to our pet.
Making the decision to end a beloved pet's suffering is an extremely difficult and painful process; it is one of the largest responsibilities a pet owner must bear, but it is also one of the greatest gifts we can give our beloved companions, enabling them to die with dignity, free from suffering.
We can make this emotional experience as gentle and peaceful as possible by allowing you and your pet to say goodbye to one another in the comfort of your own home. You can select a special spot in the yard or anywhere in the house and take as much time as you need. The entire family can be present if you wish. We use sedatives to help the animal drift off to sleep, and when at all possible we use a procedure that allows you to hold your pet in your arms until the very end.
Whether your desire is for a home burial or cremation, we can eliminate much of the stress and help make sure that everything goes smoothly.
As part of our end of life services, we create a commemorative paw print with your pet's name.
Our Pet Loss Resources page (coming soon) will provide guidance for making that most difficult decision, grief counseling resources as well as sources for commemorative plaques, urns, jewelry, headstones, etc.
